After the long delay due to Covid in 2020, the 14 new works commissioned to celebrate Stephen Sondheim's 90th birthday last year will be premiered over two concerts at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center this season, in addition to numerous venues nationwide over the next year.  These 14 new commissions will be added to the landmark Liaisons compendium, a total collection that will now feature 50 new works that are not only inspired re-imaginings of a genius composer, but wonderful additions to the piano canon.
