As a preview to their album of my choral music that will be released on Cantaloupe Music in March, The Crossing performs four of my choral works, each set to a different primary-source text. Sound from the Bench is the headlining work, featuring appropriated text adapted by Jena Osman from Supreme Court oral arguments surrounding corporate personhood. Ripple sets one line of text from the leaked Iraq War Logs, Privilege uses text by (The Wire creator) David Simon, and Consent combines personal love letters with text messages sent by the high school students accused of rape in Stuebenville, Ohio.
Featuring
Donald Nally, conductor
