The Coffin

I wrote The Coffin in April 2004, when it was played at a concert of student works for electronics at Manhattan School of Music. The text is from William Faulkner's As I Lay Dying. Notable samples come from a Rwandan folk song called "Kana," recorded in the field in 1955-56.
