Half-Life

for string trio, horn and marimba
Half-Life was written for my good friends in the Nomos String Trio and the New Music Collective to play on a joint concert in Charleston, South Carolina in May 2006. The piece plays with interlocking rhythmic patterns slowly coming undone. The end of the piece features the fabulous singing string trio, of which some participants were more willing than others.
